Past:
“Conventional Pressure Bleeder Tools”

• Pressure bleeding is not a new concept, the equipment has been available to the automotive repair industry for aprox 60 years. Most technicians have access to pressure bleeder tools, but no matter the specific model, and despite the $500-4000 cost, they are used primarily in a backup capacity.

• The majority of conventional pressure bleeding equipment can be found sitting under a repair shop work bench, seldom used, and only dragged out for difficult to bleed vehicles, or when a complete fluid flush is required. In spite of their shortcomings and ineffectiveness on many brake systems, manual bleeding procedures such as the 2 person pump & hold or gravity bleeding methods, are commonly used.

• The feedback received from hundreds of service professionals indicate that conventional pressure bleeder tools have two common performance problems:

1.  SLOW HOOKUPS   2.  LEAKY ADAPTERS

• If a pressure bleeder tool is too cumbersome, with slow equipment hookup, and a large confusing assortment of adapters that are prone to leakage, it will fail the test.

WHAT IS NEEDED?

• A new pressure bleeding tool that will surpass technician expectations and work as easily and effectively as the concept suggests. A pressure bleeder tool with easier hookup, fewer and better quality adapters that seal at higher working pressures. A bleeder tool that provides the technician total control of setting the working pressure. Most importantly, a pressure bleeder tool that technicians actually want to use as their first choice bleeding method.

Present: "Speedi-Bleed - The Better Mouse Trap"

• Speedi-Bleed is a totally re-designed brake pressure bleeder tool. It was built with only one goal in mind; to produce the easiest, most effective method of brake bleeding and fluid flushing.

• After using Speedi-bleed, only a few times, you will discover the following benefits:

1. Tool hookups of only 1-2 minutes.
2. Simple to use, leak resistant adapters.
3. Firmer brake pedals and cleaner brake fluid.
4. Complete Fluid Flush in 10-20 minutes.
5. A brake bleeding tool that actually works as advertised.
You will not find a better bleeding tool at any price.

Future: "Brake Fluid Flushing - The Forgotten Service"

• Brake fluid flushing is an often overlooked maintenance procedure, and was the featured cover story"The Forgotten Service" in the April, 2002 issue of AP&T. DOT 3/4 brake fluid is hygroscopic, meaning it readily absorbs moisture from the atmosphere. Despite the claims of many auto makers, a hydraulic brake system is not truly closed to the atmosphere. Even with the increased use of non venting filler caps on modern vehicles, the fluid in the brake system is still exposed to moisture in the air. This can happen whenever the filler cap is removed for extended periods of time (during filling or a typical brake bleed procedure), or from the higher operating tempatures combining with the rubber brake hoses, to provide microscopic entry points for additional moisture. Whenever a brake fluid flush is performed, either as an additional service, routine maintenance, or as part of a regular brake job, it is beneficial to both the vehicle owner and repair shop bottom line.

• All vehicles should have the brake fluid flushed every 2-3 years minimum or 48,000 KM (30,000 miles). With the advent of ABS brakes on most new vehicles, it is even more critical that a regular brake fluid flush be performed. The small intricate valves inside an ABS hydraulic unit are sensitive to clogging from dirt particles in old brake fluid. In extreme cases such as the Kelsey Hayes RWAL ABS (used on many 1990's GM trucks),total loss of brake pedal from a clogged ABS valve, has been traced back to contaminated brake fluid as the root cause.

• A random inspection of vehicles in the U.S. showed that the average 8 year old vehicle has a brake fluid moisture content of 2.6%. The research also indicated that aprox 25% of all vehicles have a moisture content over 4%. Why is this bad? Even a 3% moisture content can reduce the boiling point of brake fluid by 25%, which in turn can increase the possibility of vapor lock or brake fade, at lower brake system temperatures. The most severe consequences of vapor lock, being total loss of pedal pressure. Contaminated brake fluid can also cause serious damage to critical and expensive brake system components, resulting in saftey concerns, and/or expensive brake repair costs

• No other method or tool, will perform a complete fluid flush as easily, quickly, and effectively as Speedi-bleed. Many of our customers are performing 3-5 brake fluid flushes per week, and are using the tool to generate an extra revenue source.

• Using Speedi-Bleed, you will discover that a complete 4 wheel fluid flush can be performed in 10-20 minutes. (of course, not allowing for any bleeder screws that might be rusted shut).
